Blue Earth Carbon
Restoring Indonesia's Mangroves. Generating Credible Carbon. Creating Lasting Value.
Blue Earth Carbon is the carbon project brand of Blue Earth Graphene Innovation Pty Ltd — an Australian company working at the frontier of blue carbon restoration in Indonesia.
Our flagship work is the development of large-scale mangrove carbon projects verified under the Verra Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), using Methodology VM0033 — the global benchmark for tidal wetland and seagrass restoration.
We do not trade in offsets alone. We restore ecosystems, support coastal communities, and create durable carbon credits that meet the highest standards of environmental integrity.

Innovating Sustainable Graphene
At BlueEarth Graphene Innovation, we transform recycled plastic into high-performance graphene, driving a cleaner, circular future.

What is Blue Carbon?
Blue carbon refers to the carbon stored and sequestered by coastal and marine ecosystems — primarily mangroves, seagrasses, and tidal marshes. These ecosystems are among the most carbon-dense on Earth, storing up to five times more carbon per hectare than tropical rainforests.
Indonesia holds the world's largest mangrove extent — approximately 3.4 million hectares — and also bears the cost of decades of coastal degradation from aquaculture expansion, timber extraction, and land conversion. Restoring these ecosystems is one of the highest-impact climate interventions available anywhere on the planet.
Blue Earth Carbon approaches this opportunity with rigor, transparency, and a genuine partnership with Indonesian institutions and communities.
Flagship Project: Bangka Belitung Islands
Project Overview
Our lead project covers 47,754.96 hectares of degraded mangrove across the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in the South China Sea. Bangka Belitung has experienced severe coastal degradation linked to generations of tin mining activity and aquaculture expansion. This project aims to restore functional mangrove ecosystems while generating verified carbon credits that fund the restoration work and benefit the regional economy.

Indonesia's Regulatory Framework — Why Now Matters
Indonesia has undergone a significant transformation in its carbon governance framework. The regulatory changes of late 2025 have created a clear, credible pathway for international blue carbon projects operating under internationally recognized standards.
Two developments are particularly significant for Blue Earth Carbon:
• Presidential Regulation 110/2025 (Perpres 110/2025): Establishes Indonesia's formal carbon market architecture, including rules for project registration, credit issuance, and international transfer of carbon units. It creates a structured environment in which blue carbon projects can operate with legal certainty.
• Indonesia–Verra Mutual Recognition Agreement: Credits generated under Verra's VCS program are now formally recognized within Indonesia's national carbon accounting system. This removes a key structural barrier that previously made international investment in Indonesian carbon projects uncertain.
Together, these changes mean that Blue Earth Carbon's Bangka Belitung project operates within a regulatory environment that is both domestically legitimate and internationally credible.
